Personal Statement
"If you had to choose, what would be your dream job?" This question was asked of me by my college roommate in between leaving my second job after graduation and looking forward to the next step in my career. After a moment of pondering I responded "The person who invented the Apple click wheel on the IPod" "Why?" he asked. "Whoever that person was they changed how a whole generation experienced music." He, just a few years into his design career, suggest I look into design as a possible next step.
Since that one conversation, I have completed General Assembly and Shift Nudge's design courses, and have had experience solving business' design challenges in varying scale from start-ups, to governmental organizations.
I am a designer that fosters an environment of open conversation and collaboration across cross-functional teams. Utilizing each member's input to craft solutions that both solve user needs and business goals.
